The proportion of closed hot aisle modular rooms used in data center projects in China is gradually expanding. Based on the consideration of floor space utilization and cost control, the increase in cabinet power and density has led to the need for precision air conditioning in the form of dual-side air supply. Due to the increase in the area of the server room, the maximum protection volume of gas fire extinguishing is exceeded. Therefore, the fire protection design form of a pre-action sprinkler system combined with smoke exhaust systems is adopted. The focus of fire protection in the data center is on early warning, early disposal and scientific smoke and heat exhaust, among which the design of a smoke exhaust system is crucial. This study mainly adopts the combination of engineering design examples and numerical simulations to compare the effects of different smoke outlet arrangement, replenishing air form, replenishing air inlet arrangement and other factors on the smoke exhaust effect, and proposes a design scheme of closed hot aisle modular room smoke exhaust system with fire safety as the goal, which is different from the traditional design method. The numerical calculation results show a good smoke control effect.
